...another burst of texts from Sid abroad!

One of my happiest things lately is getting texts from Sid, who's so excited by his life right now, studying abroad in Ireland.

Sometimes he'll go days without texting anything, and then I'll get a burst that goes on and on in such a way that I don't have to answer for a while, just let them flow onto my phone screen, one after another.

Here's a recent burst, unedited:

Did I tell you I'm heading to Paris tomorrow

I'm SO excited

I'm meeting friends there

And staying with a friend of my dad's friend

Her apartment looks gorgeous

Currently at an Airbnb for a night in Dublin before my flight

My host is an 80 year old woman named Teresa lol

She's kind of uncanny but super nice

And that was it! I responded appropriately and am now eagerly awaiting the next burst of texts from across the pond.

A castle-like college in Ireland—stone buildings and a green, green grass quad.
A picture from Sid's life in Ireland...which arrived in a burst of photos, of course.

What about you—what's an especially happy text you've received lately? I'd love to hear about it, if you'd like to share.
