...a frightening billboard he saw on vacation.
I saw an ad in Chicago recently that I can't stop thinking about.
Looming large over a popular crosswalk in Boystown, it stopped me in my tracks at least half a dozen times during my stay nearby. I initially thought it was hawking something Halloween-related—a haunted house or a costume store—but when I stopped to read it, a huge smile spread across my face.
As a vegetarian, I love it.
But it's a pretty graphic image—and definitely not for everyone. In fact, I was showing a picture of it to my sister when I was back in Michigan a couple weeks ago and my young niece caught a glimpse: "But not all meat comes from animals, right?"
My sister looked at me like, Don't you dare answer that.
I'm genuinely curious how it's landing with others passing by, or if it's gotten backlash from the neighborhood it sits atop. After all, if my living room window faced that scene 24/7, I'd definitely have feelings about it.
