...about some happy little things.
Now that the mauves have taken leave, won't you please allow me to do my best Joanna Goddard and share some happy little things I've been enjoying lately?
Survivor is BACK! Every Wednesday night at 8pm my gay friends come over and we spend 90 minutes in my living room gasping at whatever unhinged sh*t is brewing in Fiji (On Fiji? God, I'm stupid). So far Season 51 is delish and delivering. But Devin, gurl, you gotta chill, okay?
The smell of lemon blossoms! I have small potted lemon tree (it yields maybe 30 lemons in a year if I'm lucky) on my back deck. Every time I've walked past it recently I feel like I got my teeth brushed by nature. The smell is glorious—citrusy but sweet and clean. The best!
Coven Academy! Is it a great TV show? No. Do I absolutely love it? I absolutely LOOOOOOOVE it. Witches, vampires, rando heartthrobs from the 90s, super cute not-so-little dorm rooms? Sign my ass all the way up! Please go ahead and green light season two now, TV gods.
A sidewalk tomato plant! I found this scrappy little overachiever growing straight out of a grody curb crack in the Castro yesterday. I never wouldn've noticed it had Ellie not stopped to sniff. Man, nature's dope.
If anyone's reading this, care to tell me your happy little things lately?
P.S. ILYSM Joanna.
